WR-120 (Iron Roughneck)

Help With This Product

Forum Energy Technologies introduces the next newly engineered product developed for performance, and reliability – The Wrangler Roughneck 120. This new Iron Roughneck takes on the toughest job on an Oil Rig – making up and breaking out drillpipe, drill collars and BHA’s – and still has more than enough torque to make and break bits.  The Wrangler Roughneck 120 is a mechanically deployed device used in the make-up and/or break out of drilling tubulars at well center or mousehole. It is pedestal mounted and its hydraulically actuated slewing motor allows it to effectively reach both locations.

The compact Wrangler Roughneck 120 is hydraulically powered, light weight, and spins up tubulars with high torque spinning motors. It torques up, breaks out the drillpipe and collars with three clamping cylinders limiting the potential for damaged or deformed tool joints while utilizing industry standard 4 inch dies. Its unique design also provides a counter balance thread compensation system with 4 inches of travel while spinning in or out a connection. The design allows the user to make and break BHA’s along with stabilizers up to 17-1/2 inches. With an optional Bit Breaker kit, The Wrangler Roughneck 120 becomes the one tool that exceeds all others in its class.
