Artificial Lift Sand Protection

Multilift became part of the Forum family in July of 2017. Their SandGuard™ and Cyclone™ completion tools extend the useful life of an electrical submersible pump (ESP) by protecting it against falling sand and other solids after shutdown.

Sand from the reservoir formation and/or proppant return is an inevitable by-product in most oilfields. Our SandGuard and Cyclone completion tools protect electrical submersible pumps from damage caused by frac sand and other residual solids. Failure modes include pump erosion, sand accumulation, plugging, electrical and mechanical stresses and inability to bring the pump on after a shutdown. Our Sand Management System is the ultimate, proactive sand management strategy to protect the ESP and keep production flowing smoothly.  The SandGuard tool is located in the tubing string, just above the pump discharge, and captures fallback sand.  The Cyclone is deployed below the ESP and separates sand and suspended solids -  sending desanded fluid to the ESP and the sand and solids to a tailpipe below.
