VisualSoft Suite 10 Coming Soon

 

 VisualSoft Suite Products:

In VisualSoft 10 we have simplified our product naming and licensing. You no longer need multiple inter-dependent licenses on a single PC. Some license types have been discontinued, replaced by new products with features and functions generally enabled by a single license. A new license server and database will ensure that issuing and tracking of licenses is faster and more efficient than in any previous version.

VisualSoft 10 Admin Panel:
The new VisualSoft Admin Panel runs automatically when applications are started, and centralises and simplifies the control of many essential features of the VisualWorks suite:

  • Timing: View and adjust the Windows time settings of all VisualWorks PCs, from one PC.
  • Network Communication: Display and control VisualWorks network settings.
  • Alarms and Warnings: Enhanced display of alarms and warning messages.
  • Troubleshooting: Collect and zip key settings, system logs etc. for faster troubleshooting.

VisualDVR 10:

New – H.264: In addition to the long-standing options for Windows Media Video and MPEG-2, we have now added H.264 video encoding in an MPEG-4 container, for both SD and HD recordings.

Improvement – Automated Sharing: The selected Logging folders are now shared automatically for immediate offline access by the VisualArchive data management system.

 

VisualArchive 10:

Improvement – Faster Project Tree: The Project Tree has been completely redesigned to allow faster access to video and data. Data shown in the tree may now be sorted by either time or KP, and datasets are flagged with status indicators showing data processing progress.

Improvement – Auto Detection: The use of automatic folder sharing in both VisualDVR and VisualDataLog means that VisualArchive can now correctly “Auto Detect” the logging folders. Users no longer need to manually configure the settings to have their online video recordings  copied to the backup system.

 

VisualDataLog 10:

Improvement – Logging Drive Selection: The logging drive is now easy to select and change, and the logging folder is now shared automatically for immediate access over the network by the offline VisualArchive data management system.

 

VisualEdit 10:

Improvement – New Look: For version 10 VisualEdit has been updated with a new look and feel making more efficient use of screen space. For the default, we have retained a familiar layout so that existing users will find the tools that they are used to, but we’ve also made it very easy to rearrange things as you want to make best use of available screen space. Items that are not often needed now move out of the way, freeing space for what is most important and most often used.

Improvement – Project Tree Sorting: The Project Tree has been completely redesigned to allow faster and more efficient access to video and data. Datasets shown in the tree may now be sorted by time or KP as the user prefers, and are flagged with a number of status indicators for tracking data processing progress.

 

VisualEdit Eventing 10:

VisualEdit Eventing 10 has the changes listed for VisualEdit 10, plus the following changes:

New – Span Heights & Burial Depths: New scripts have been added to calculate freespan heights or burial depths and place this information in the relevant event records.

Improvement – Auto Generate Span & Burial Events: The tool to Auto-Generate freespan and burial events using processed cross-profiler or MBE data has been modified to also calculate freespan heights and burial depths, adding this information to event records as they are created.

New – Event Spacing QC: Event Spacing QC can be used to test the spacing of features such as Anodes and Field Joints which are usually at fixed intervals along a pipeline. Gaps shorter or longer than expected will be highlighted in the new “QC Table”. Where the gaps are long enough that we suspect that a feature has been missed, we also add an entry to the QC table which will jump the user directly to the time and KP where we think the missing feature is likely to have been.

New – Event Overlap QC: We have added a script for Event Overlap QC, which will warn of illogical situations such as a burial event between the start and end of a freespan.

New – QC Results Table: A new QC results data table has been added which lists the suspected problems and also provides any suggested solutions. The table links these problems and suggestions back to the time of the relevant data. Clicking the mouse cursor on a line in the QC table will instantly jump the video and data displays to the problem data so finding and fixing problems is quick and easy.

 

VisualEdit Professional 10:

VisualEdit Professional 10 has all changes in VisualEdit & VisualEdit Eventing 10, plus:

Improvement – Script Navigation: The list of data processing scripts has been re-arranged to place scripts into logical groups and categories. This should make it easier for both experienced and novice users to locate the tools that they need.
