Mechanical CAD Technician
Job Description:
Creates designs and drawings for machining and fabrication. Responsible for document control in accordance with the Quality Management System, Operation Procedures and Customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Creates designs and drawings for the manufacture of API 6A products and welded fabricated equipment. Expert use of Microsoft Office Suite and 3-D CAD Software is required.
- Coordinating design and material requirements with purchasing to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Aid and assist Phoinix Global facility operations and Vendors.
- Review Drawings as part of the drawing approval process.
- File and maintain all Design/Drawing files.
- Perform essential duties following the Quality Management System.
- Report and document nonconformance or potential problems relating to the quality of product and/or the QMS.
- Perform work in a professional and safe manner.
- Report unsafe work practices.
Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
High school diploma or; technical/vocational school certification; and/or five (5) years minimum of practical work experience related to manufacturing and fabricated products
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Blueprint reading
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite/3-D CAD Software
- Reverse Engineering using basic measuring equipment
- API SPEC 6A
- ISO 9001:2000 QMS
