CNC Machinist
Location: Pearland, TX
Number of Openings: 5
Division: Downhole Completions Tools
Set up and operate computer numerical control machines.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review print & work order.
- Attach fixture to machine and secure part.
- Position tools per setup instructions.
- Input program or program machine if necessary.
- Operate machine to produce part.
- Measures work piece and adjust offset as required.
- Stamp or engrave necessary information on part.
- Notify supervisor or leadman of nonconforming product.
- Deburr part as necessary.
- Complete work order documentation & first piece inspection
- Proof program & edit as necessary
- Optimize tooling & programs to increase production
- Check calibration on QC instruments
- Operate forklift as needed
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Work Experience:
- High school graduate or GED, 1 year experience on CNC Mill or Lathe.
- Basic CNC knowledge to edit CNC programs and know G-codes
Skill/Ability:
Knowledge: Read prints, use measuring instruments, basic shop math.
Mental: Must be able to handle multiple tasks and maintain priorities.
Interpersonal: Good communication and verbal skills.
Physical: Pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, & twisting with weights up to 40 pounds Standing & kneeling up to 10 hours
ENVIRONMENT
Overall: Machine shop.
Equipment: Manual mill & lathe and/or CNC control.
Substances: Coolant oil & gas.
Protective Equipment: Safety glasses, back support belt & safety shoes.
